Two photographs are layered in carefully poured and hand finished resin. Cherry blossoms frame a unique west coast sunset over the Isle of Cumbrae in this one-of-a-kind silver brooch.
This brooch features two layered images which give it a 3D effect, the silver frame was made entirely by hand. A subtle watery yellow sunset is captured and complemented by the aqua blue, warmer yellow, and the near-black colour of the silhouetted trees. There are some small bubbles in the resin which don’t affect the quality.
The brooch is 6.5 cm by 3 cm and 0.7 cm deep.
Steel pin fastening with a silver tube hinge and silver revolver catch.
Pin length is 5.5 cm so this would suit medium to heavyweight fabric, perhaps a heavy scarf or a slightly wider jacket lapel.
Handmade silver frame with a lightly textured finish.
