Sterling silver round earrings featuring Goatfell on the Isle of Arran.
These earrings are made from 100% recycled sterling silver (exclusive of the post and butterfly as I’m still trying to source recycled fittings) The landscape of Goatfell is polished to a high shine and the background is oxidised to give a lovely contrast. The oxidisation is a coating on the silver, I paint on a little of the chemical and it speeds up the natural oxidisation process to give a lovely matte black finish.
I made a master copy of the earrings and sent them to be cast in the UK by a company that only uses recycled metals.
This means if you want an extra special pair in recycled or Fairtrade gold I can have them made for you, get in touch with me!
The earrings are around 10 mm diameter and have a 10 mm long post, the butterfly fits on really securely! They come in a Jen Cunningham recyclable box ready to be worn or gifted.
