Let’s get to know each other

Jen Cunningham Jewellery — Portrait

Growing up in a small coastal village on the west of Scotland, I fell in love with the sea and the mountains in equal measures.

I became fascinated looking out over the Isle of Arran from my childhood home; the sweeping views and the way the sky changes from day-to-day (sometimes minute-to-minute!) is breathtaking.

I’ve always been a creative person with a need to make something with my hands, so I suppose it’s no surprise to hear I studied Jewellery & Metalwork Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design - Scotland’s number one university for art and design.

After graduating, I worked in the Edinburgh Assay Office (where jewellery goes to be tested and hallmarked) until 2013 when I went full-time with Jen Cunningham: Landscape Inspired Jewellery.

I craft my clients’ favourite landscapes, hikes, adventures or cities into wearable mementos, so they can always carry meaningful places with them. Jen Cunningham is also committed to sourcing recycled materials for your commissions as well as Fairtrade or Fairmined metal whenever possible. You can read more about my mission to put more goodness into the jewellery industry on my ethics page.

WHENEVER I NEED A BREAK...

yep - you guessed it… I head to the hills or the coast!

Tell me your story

As you can probably tell, I love landscapes and I love to find out what makes a place special to you. My clients are from all walks of life and they come to me with their stories, knowing they’re in a safe and welcoming space.

Seeing the reaction on their faces when they see the finished jewellery in person is my favourite part of what I do. There’s no better feeling!

I can make any of my jewellery personal to you.

Things like resizing rings, adding a scattering of flush set stones or engravings are no problem. I also have a lot of experience with wedding rings and can offer ideas that you may not have thought of or considered, including ways of incorporating engagement rings or family heirloom jewellery. An antidote if nothing out there in the high street jewellers is speaking to you!

You can find out more about commissions on my bespoke page or by getting in touch.
