For those of you with an affinity to landscapes, I am the jeweller who can best represent your favourite mountain range or skyline on a piece of jewellery. Meaning you can always have your favourite place with you.
My original inspiration was my own attachment to the Isle of Arran which I saw everyday from my childhood home.I studied Jewellery and metalwork design at Scotland’s number one university for art and design, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, graduating in 2007, with a BDes (Hons).
I now have over 10 years of experience making bespoke landscape jewellery. Providing my clients with personalised wedding rings, thoughtful birthday and graduation gifts, as well as jewellery to remember a loved one or favourite place. I love making accurate representations of landscape in metal and I’ve been expanding and enhancing my skills in traditional techniques like saw-piercing, stone setting and casting. Living in Edinburgh for 10 years has also expanded my range of landscapes, to include cityscapes, buildings and bridges.
With so much experience, I can make any of my stock jewellery personal to you. Resizing rings, adding stones or engravings are not a problem, with a lot of these things done by me in the studio, or by trusted suppliers I have complete control of the process. I have a lot of experience with wedding rings and can offer a range of ideas that you might not have thought of or considered for your rings, including ways of incorporating any engagement rings or family heirloom jeweller. A handy antidote if you feel like nothing out there in the high-street jewellers is speaking to you!
I’m based in central Scotland and easily accessible by public transport. I have a workshop in the back of a shop; The Creative Showroom on Leith Walk, Edinburgh. Please contact me and not the shop before visiting my studio though as I’m not officially attached to the shop and I may not be in if you drop in! You can however browse some of my jewellery in the shop, along with a lot of other independent designers & makers.
If you’re not local to Scotland, or Edinburgh, I’m able to do the whole commission process by email. A lot of my clients order pieces without ever having met me and I’m so honoured to have this level of trust from my customers in what I do. It’s something I strive towards by maintaining communication at every stage of the design and making process; even offering photographs of your jewellery in the making stages. We can also arrange a phone call or Skype if you’d like to virtually meet me before confirming your commission.
If you would like to, please do arrange to visit my studio for a no obligation free consultation with me and we can chat about what you would like to have made. If you are a gallery or shop, looking to stock my work, please get in touch.
You can find some of my ready to wear pieces available to buy now in the online shop and at my Scottish stockists. You’ll see landscapes like the Isle of Arran, Arthur’s Seat, Glasgow Skyline, Dundee, and the City of Edinburgh Skyline. Have a browse of my portfolio, this isn’t an exhaustive list of pieces I have made, so check out my Facebook Page, blogs and Instagram for more photos of jewellery I’ve made previously. Sign up to my newsletter below to hear about the shows and craft fairs I’ll be exhibiting at this year so you can visit me and see my work in person!
